Meet Katheryn

KATHERYN BURNETT, LCMHCA
Katheryn is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her undergraduate degree in education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina University.
Katheryn’s graduate counseling experience includes working as a school-based therapy intern and as an outpatient intern working with children with disabilities. She is passionate about working with children and their families, and she aims to become a safe place and sense of support for children and their families as they navigate the variety of challenges and changes they face in life. Katheryn aims to help every client feel confident in who they are and validated in their experiences.
My style
Katheryn utilizes a person-centered approach to collaborate with her clients and help them realize their full potential. Katheryn will also incorporate a variety of play therapy techniques when working with children, as well as Rogerian and solution-focused techniques as she sees appropriate. When she is not working, Katheryn spends her free time exploring Raleigh, spending time with friends, and reading.
